Happy Fall Y’all

Being a Christian is like being a Pumpkin

God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff … including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then he carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you for all the world to see.

Make a Difference

Will she ruin her ballet slippers by wearing them around the neighborhood? What can the baby wear that won’t cost lots of money? Will the weather be warm enough to go without a coat? I’d hate to put a coat over such cute costumes.

These were the questions swirling around in my head the day before my children embarked on their candy filled jaunt through the neighborhood. I say “were” because now they are gone. They have been replaced. Replaced with a sense of concern.

I watched the following video on another blog today. I can’t get it out of my head. Now I’m asking myself, how can I make a difference?

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40 NIV

Oh, I wanna be a sheep.

Fishing

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19 NIV

Today a fish, tomorrow a friend…
